What Is a New Testament Christian?

A believer on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Spirit-filled.
Dedicated to witnessing.
Before Agrippa, Paul told his experience, showing himself to be a believer. Then "having therefore obtained help of God"— he was Spirit-filled —"I continue witnessing." And what was his message? "None other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come" (that is the Old Testament) "that Christ should suffer and that He should be the first that should rise from the dead" (that is the Gospel).

Jesus Has the Answer to...
When Jesus came He made such an impact that all history is judged by its relation to Him. Celebrities have marched across the stage of history and made little difference, but by Jesus Christ all men are judged and their destiny determined. A man may make other poor decisions and be temporarily worse, but if he decides wrongly about Jesus Christ he is eternally worse.
Jesus has the answer to depravity.
Jesus has the answer to despair.
Jesus has the answer to demonism.
Jesus has the answer to death.
Jesus has the answer to discouragement.
Jesus has the answer to defeat.
Jesus has the answer to dilemma.

When Jesus comes the tempter's power is broken,
When Jesus comes the tears are wiped away.
He takes the gloom and fills the life with glory,
For all is changed when Jesus comes to stay.

Finding God's Purpose for You
The life in line with God's purposes has the stars on its side. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Process.
People.
Providence.
Protection.

Get into that blessed purpose by trusting Christ as Saviour, abiding in Him, obeying Him as Lord. After all, the purpose of the believer's life is simply Christ: "For to me to live is Christ." When it comes to details, remember that if you will to do His will you shall know, for that is as true of direction and details as of doctrine.

Wanted, Dead and Alive
The sinner is dead IN sin.
The Saviour died FOR sin.
The saint is dead TO sin with his Lord.
This is a glorious fact which he is to make real in actual daily experience as he reckons himself dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord (Rom. 6:11).

Once I was blind, but God touched me.
Once I was lost, but God bound me.
Once I was under wrath, but God loved me.
Once I walked according to the course of this world, but God turned me and now I walk as He walked.
Once I walked according to the prince of the power of the air, but God stopped me, and now I follow the Prince of Peace.
Once I had my manner of life in the lusts of the flesh and mind, but God gave me a new life, and Christ liveth in me.
Once I was by nature the child of wrath, but God has begotten me into the family of love.

And all of this is the free gift of grace if one will by faith in God's Son come to that second birthday, the beginning of a new life that opens with those two precious words: "But God..."

Are You Satisfied?"
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is...My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness. (Ps. 63:1, 5).
A dry land.
A thirsty soul.
A satisfying God.
A satisfying God!..."He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness" (Ps. 107:9). We are made for Him and we never rest until we rest in Him. The Psalmist adds, "my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips" (Ps. 63:5). There is no morning-after taste, for His blessing makes rich and He adds no sorrow with it (Prov. 10:22).
