I SHALL COME FORTH AS GOLD
Job 23:1-17; James 1:2-12
Introduction:
1. Gold has to be created and so were we by The Creator! (birth)
2. Gold was lost in the great flood due to sin (upheaval of the fountains of the deep and mountains) and so were we in the flood of sin that moved us from the garden to the wilderness
3. Gold must be mined for and so Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost - The Redeemer! (2nd Birth)
4. The Gold Miner! has to go into so tuff far away places to work and sacrifice to retrieve the gold
5. The Gold must be discover and retrieved and so must we be found and taken in by the Saviour
6. The Gold once found is cleaned, weighed, refined and given a purpose!
7. The Gold has always been treasured even before found but now alas it is in the Jeweler/Owners hand! (Glory!!!)
8. The Gold is what it is because of the Creator, Redeemer, Sanctifier. Its glory was and is in the Head (mind), Heart and Hand of the Almighty!
So it is that Job had a great realization of these facts and even more as he was in a great refining process, and so we should as we go through the same and one level or another!
I. There is Courage to be Found in what Job Said: he knoweth the way that I take
A. Job believed that God would not hurt him even though he was hurting (v.6)
B. Job believed that God was around even though he could not see him (v. 8, 9)
C. Job believed that God was aware of him even though he could not touch him (V. 8, 9)
D. Job believed that God would appear to him and his situation right on time (v.10 when He hath )
II. There is Consideration to be Fathomed in what Job said, when he hath tried me
A. His trials would not cause him to waver from the path (V. 11)
B. His trials would not cause him to wobble concerning the Word (V.12)
C. His trials would cause him to worship with praise (V. 12)
III. There is Confidence to be Fashioned in what Job said, I shall come forth as gold.
A. He knew that he would be made better. A Confidence in God (V. 13, 14) appointed!
B. He certainly would not allow himself to be made bitter. A Choice in himself (V. 16)
CONCLUSION:
Sometimes the Lord allows trials to come to us to teach us
Sometimes they come to tender us
and trials also come to toughen us.
Yet, when God allows it to be so, it is for the purpose of us to come forth as gold.
