DARK CLOUDS OVER AMERICA
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the
nations that forget God. 18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten:
the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.19 Arise,
O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy
sight. 20 Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know
themselves to be but men. Selah.
Introduction:
These dark clouds have separated us from & our view of the
“SON”. Have you ever taken time to look at clouds as
the pass by and try to see shapes in them? Well let’s do
a little different twist on that this evening as we consider the
dark clouds that are in the horizon of our nation.
I. The Cloud of Prayerlessness
A. Prayerless Homes
B. Prayerless Churches
C. Prayerless Schools
D. Prayerless Nations
II. The Cloud of Powerlessness
A. Powerless Believers
1. No power with God 2. No power for God
B. Powerless Parents
1. No power to lead 2. No power to help 3. No power to care
C. Powerless Churches
1. No power to affect 2. No power to attract 3. No power to alert
D. Powerless Government
III. The Cloud of Pride
A. The Lie about what WE did - It was GOD
B. The Lie about what WE need - We need GOD
C. The Lie about who WE are - We are what we are by the grace
of GOD
IV. The Cloud of Politics
(Rep., Dem., all of them are far to hung up on their own prosperity
to even consider ours) Politics will kill a business, a nation
& a church
A. Sell outs
B. Show offs
C. Suck ups
V. The Cloud of Pleasure
Judges 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every
man did that which was right in his own eyes.
A. Enemy clouds
B. Enticing clouds
C. Exciting clouds
D. Excusing clouds
VI. The Cloud of Prosperity
A. Money clouds – deals with our love
B. Mastery clouds – deals with our Lord
C. Misused clouds – deals with our Legacy
VII. The Cloud of Promiscuity
A. No Restraint is never a good thing
B. No Respect or Regard
C. No Remembrance
VIII. The Cloud of Privilege
A. We have so many rights till we think we do no wrong
B. To much undeserved privilege breeds contempt for authority
Ill. - (A spoiled child), (some welfare recipients)
C. God doesn’t owe us one single thing!
Conclusion:
We as a nation of individuals need to get own our knees and beg
God to revive us and our nation!
To blow out all the dark clouds and let His Son shine in every
area of life! It starts with us today!
