Good Hygiene !!!
OT Priest at the laver washed both ways! Clean hands & Clean feet
Our theme tonight is after salvation. The heart must be made clean before the hands can!
I. Clean Hands In The Matter of Proclamation
We are given by example & by commandment how our hands can
be and should be clean.
A. By The Living Word-Example
Mark 1:41, "And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth
his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou
clean."
Luke 5:13, "And he put forth his hand, and touched him,
saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed
from him."
B. By The Written Word-Commanded
Proverbs 7:1-3, "My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments
with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the
apple of thine eye Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon
the table of thine heart."
II. Clean Hands In The Matter of Purpose
Life is now consumed by pleasing the Lord and keeping the hands
clean for use the Lords use and conscience sake. If you
prepared food, or was a doctor doing surgery. Your hands must
be regularly cleansed. How much more as a believer?
A. Purposed to be unpolluted
Job 9:30, "If I wash myself with snow water, and make my
hands never so clean;"
B. Purposed to be pure
Job 22:30, "He shall deliver the island of the innocent:
and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands."
C. Purposed to be prudent
Psalms 24:4, "He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart;
who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully"
D. Purposed to be powerful
Job 17:9, "The righteous also shall hold on his way, and
he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger."
E. Purposed to be proper
Psalms 26:6, "I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will
I compass thine altar, O LORD:"
III. Clean Hands In The Matter of Pronouncement
Our own hands will one day proclaim how we have used them!
A. Reward of clean hands
II Samuel 22:21 & Psalms 18:20, 24

according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me."

according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me."
Vs. 24, "Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according
to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in
his eyesight."
IV. Clean Hands In The Matter of Possessions

against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have
not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness."

Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double
minded."

be iniquity in my hands;"
