Psalm 119:28
My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto
thy word.
Ice Cream Christians is my title. My soul melted for heaviness. Melted means a steady dripping. Heaviness means more than burden it means depression or as the Bible says distress. Preachers I have known insist that depression is a modern thing bought on by apostasy or disobedient brethren. It is not .Spurgeon and Cowper both suffered long bouts of depression. Spurgeon take off 3 months from preaching to go to France. Here is a brief outline.
