Ziklag 1 Samuel 30
Intro = David in this chapter faces one of the hardest times in his life. It is wonderful to know that God is God of every situation. We will never face anything in life that God cant handle.
1= Disaster Vs.1&2
Every person here is subject to disaster. Disaster can strike without warning. It comes often when we least expect it. One minute we can be fine and then the next our world can be torn apart, such was the case with David and his men.

2= Distress
1 Samuel 30:4 Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep .Such was the distress that David and his men had cried until they could cry no more. They did not know how they would deal with it. The people even spoke of stoning David.
There they stood among the smoking, smoldering ruins all they had was now gone. What distress it brought. Maybe your life seems to be in ruins this morning.

3=Devotion WE can always find strength in our God no matter how dark the way may seem. In verse 6 David found encouragement in the Lord. We need always to look to God in prayer and in His word.

4= Direction
In verse 8 David prayed and sought direction from God. How many of us having an army of well trained men would have sought Gods will. I think I would have just tried to get my family back. If you have lost your way God can get you back on the right track.

4= Discovery
When David obeyed, God lead them to an Egyptian who would point them to the enemy.
God always points us in the right direction.
The fact this man was sick was a blessing, had he not been sick he would have died when David and His men found these Amalekites.

5= Deliverance
1 Samuel 30:19 And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all. We lost it all in the Garden of Eden but Jesus recovered all at Calvary.
