"JESUS WONDERFUL"

Isaiah 9:6

Every thing about Jesus is wonderful.

A. WONDERFUL PERSON

1. His character - 1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: There was no fault found in Christ. He is the perfect Son of God, without sin.

2. His concern - Matthew 20:32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? Christ was willing to help all those in trouble, or those with problems.

3. His compassion- Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Compassion really means "love in action." Christ not only had love - He showed it. Words mean very little if we do not put them into practice. No person lived like Christ.

B. WONDERFUL POWER

1. Divine power - Matthew 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: Christ healed all who were sick. He healed the broken hearts, the broken bodies, and the broken lives.

2. Dedicated power- Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. Christ's mission was to seek and save the lost. He left His beautiful home in heaven, and came into this sinful world to live, teach, suffer and die.

3. Denouncing power-Mark 5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. Christ's power overcame demon power. Satan and demons cannot remain where Christ is present.

4. Dictating power-Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He even had power over nature. The wind and waves had to obey Him.

C. WONDERFUL PROMISES

1. The promise of salvation-Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. All man needs to do is to simply believe. If he doesn't believe, he is lost!

2. The promise of security-John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Man seeks security in many different ways, but real peace comes only through Christ. Note the words of Isa. 26:3. Also see Phil. 4:7.

3. The promise of satisfaction-John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. "In my Father's house" speaks of heaven. Some day, if we believe in Him, we will go to be with Christ. If we die

before He returns, we will go to live with Him (see John 3:16). It has been estimated that there are 32,000 promises in the Bible. All are true! God will keep His Word. Accept His promises.

D. WONDERFUL PROVISION

1. Provision for our physical need- 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. God is interested in our souls, minds, and bodies.

2. Provision for our material need-Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. God does not cater to all our wants, but He does meet our needs- Matt. 6:25-34.

3. Provision for our spiritual need-John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. God planned our salvation, Jesus paid for it, and the Holy Spirit brings it. Through His blood we have forgiveness-Heb. 9:22, 1 John 1:7.
